2.4GHz 220 Watt Linear Amplifier gain 40dB Es'hail 32 volt / 28 volt supply
220Watt linear amplifier aimed mainly for use with DATV via the Es'Hail satellite. Uses a pallet originally made by Nokia, I think, and modified for 2.4GHz. 35 amp 4mm binding post terminals for power input. There is no PTT on this amplifier and there never was in the original design. Thermometer label on side of heatsink to give a guide to temperature rise. Built using mainly new parts. Massive heatsink 250 x 200 x 40mm.
Huge 180 x 180 x 32mm fan. 2.4GHz 32 volt DC supply (will run at 35% less power at 28 V supply). Idle current about 1.7 amps. Psat 240 watts cold at 34 amps supply.
P1dB approx 180 watts at 12 amps supply for 25 mW input. Gain 40dB at 160 watts for 20mW input. Very linear - ideal for Es'Hail running about 55 watts for low spectral regrowth. 2.3GHz 32 volt DC supply.
Psat cold 320 watts at 25 amps supply. For 28 volt DC supply these figures are around 35% less but the efficiency is lower. Maximum input level 180mW for short periods. 3 month guarantee (void if seals are broken). Dimensions 254 x 200 x 146mm. Package weight approx 5.5kg. Package size 46 x 32 x 25 cm approx.
