This is a very nice Alpha amplifier. It's been converted to use two 3CX800A7 tubes, along with the matching Peter Dahl transformer. The cabinet has been sandblasted and professionally powder-coated, and a custom faceplate has been installed that advertises the 3CX800A7 tubes. The lettering is engraved, giving it a very professional and refined look. You won't find a better looking amp, and it runs as good as it looks. With 40 meters on SSB (using a peak-reading meter), we're getting 1500+ watts out using 60 watts of drive. It's very quite and the meter lamps are both good. This amp is ready to join your station!

There are two small issues to point out. First, for some reason, the cabinet's mounting holes don't line up with the chassis on four locations. This is why the side of the amp is missing screws on two locations.

Also, the transformer only has two of the mounting screws. Neither of these are too important, but I wanted to point them out just the same.
