Heathkit SB-200 Vintage Ham Radio Amplifier with Cetron 572B Tubes SN 651-8806
The amp is in fair cosmetic condition. While there is no odor, it appears to have belonged to a smoker at one point many years ago. The cabinet itself is dirty and has scuffs. However, while this may not be the prettiest amp out there, it runs well! Keyed down on 40 meters with about 75 watts input, we got about 500 watts out. Keep in mind that the amp is wired for 120VAC, but we would recommend rewiring it for 220VAC. All in all, this is a great amp that would make for a great cosmetic restoration project. Please realize that this is a vintage piece of equipment, and unless specifically noted above, it has not been fully restored with new components.
It will inevitably need maintenance, however it's impossible to know whether that will be next week or a few years down the road. Unless you are capable of doing this work yourself (or have access to someone who can), we suggest you revisit the idea of whether this is the right equipment for you. This item will be packaged using our new InstaPak foam-in-bag system, ensuring the utmost protection!
