Heathkit Sb-220 Ham Radio Amplifier Hf 2000w
I bought this thinking I would be a Amp repair person. I got it going and I checked transformers both good. I repaired both boards which had blown diodes.
Showing about 2500 vdc and I too a overhead picture problem is it fails after a couple hours and now the amp meter raises but voltage dont because a capacitor in the pack failed! The boards looked new as did the 8 pack capacitor pack, but looking new means nothing! Maybe its the tubes or the so called door knob capacitors.
I feel like I came so close but something somewhere is failing! Working on these gets old in a hurry!
