Heathkit SB-230 80 - 10 Meter Linear Amplifier w/ Eimac 8873 Tube VINTAGE TESTED. Available for sale is a Heathkit SB-230 linear amplifier. Physically, the amplifier is in pretty good condition for its age showing some wear. The biggest issue is that there is a gouge on the bottom of the cabinet. Aside from some other scuffs, scratches, and marks on the cabinet the amplifier is still very clean on the front panel and inside as well.

Please see the photos for more details. Our technician tested the amplifier with an Icom IC-706, dummy load, and SWR / watt meter. He got 500 watts output with 50 watts input. The amplifier is wired for 120 VAC. One 8873 tube is included. This is a vintage piece of equipment, and unless specifically noted above, it has not been fully restored with new components. It will inevitably need maintenance, however it's impossible to know whether that will be next week or a few years down the road. Unless you are capable of doing this work yourself (or have access to someone who can), we suggest you revisit the idea of whether this is the right equipment for you.
