See pictures and you make the call. This looks like a case of converting from one crappy sweep tube to another; kind of a waste in my opinion. Perhaps it was a case of tube availability.. It looks like a relay has been added for some purpose just to the left of the power transformer; see picture. This unit has good "bones", with no dents or gouges on the cabinet; a coat of paint would make it pristine. My original plan was to pull out all the sweep tube wiring, and move the power supply components to a separate cabinet to make room for a pair of "proper" transmitting tubes, the RCA 813. The specs for the 813 indicate that it may be mounted on an angle if the tube grids are oriented correctly, so I think this would be a nice conversion. Comes with a clean copy of the manual.
