Ten-Tec Titan 425 Ham Radio HF Amplifier with Power Supply SN 00462
This is a very nice amp. Cosmetically, the cabinets of the RF deck and power supply have some scratches on it, but that's about it!
Operationally, it runs very well. With 50 watts of drive, we recorded the following output: 1200W on 160, 1300W on 80, 1500W on 40, 1500W on 20, 1300W on 15, and 1500W on 10 (only used 40 watts input on 10 meters). IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT LINE VOLTAGE: The line voltage at our shop sits at 208VAC, and unfortunately there's nothing we can do about this.As a result, we measure plate voltage of only 1600 on the low setting, and a little over 2200 on high. Factory spec calls for 1800 on low and 2400+ on high. Line voltage impacts an amp's output much more than people realize! Assuming your line voltage is better than our shop's, you will get better output. This item was recently removed from an active and operational ham station, and is expected to be fully operational. This item will be packaged using our new InstaPak foam-in-bag system, ensuring the utmost protection! Bags filled with a chemical mixture expand around your item, then harden to form a protective, yet forgiving, foam barrier. IMPORTANT: You will only receive what is photographed.
