Very Nice Collins 30L-1 Amplifer with new Taylor 811A's & Power Supply Board
Winged Emblem Collins 30L-1 Linear HF Amplifier. It COVERS 3.5-29.7MHz including the 80/40/20/15/10 METER HAM BANDS. It needs about 70 watts drive and is rated at 1000Watts plate input power on CW and SSB PEP.
Rated 50% duty cycle CW and Continuous duty SSB. These have been recently replaced with NEW Taylor brand from RF Parts Company. The condition of this amplifier is as follows. Has longer line cord installed. Includes a the ORIGINAL Operators and Service Collins Manual with schematics and theory of operation.
Also includes a N male to PL-259 jumper for the output jack on the 30L-1, which is a N female. The case is in original excellent condition. From a Non Smoker who was the original owner.
New Capacitors / Power Supply HV board upgrade done. See photo of the board before installation, provided by the original owner. 4 Taylor 811A tubes recently installed. HV has 2000VDC output on idle with the new Harbach board. With about 75 watts of drive from my Icom IC-725 I measured the following CW output.......
80m 400watts; 40m 425watts; 20m 510watts; 15m 425watts; 10m 350watts. It does NOT have a soft key option installed, and there is about 170VDC across the keying jack.
