Alpha 87A Ham Radio Amplifier w/ Peter Dahl Transformer (Soft Tubes) SN 87351093. Cosmetically, the amp is in good condition with minimal wear. It is missing one of the cabinet screws as well as one of the bolts that holds the transformer in place. Otherwise, it's all there and looks good. The amp if very clean inside, as I hope you can see in the photos. The amp itself is if fully operational, however the 3CX800A tubes that are included are soft. Because of this, the amp is putting out low power. On 40 meters with 45 watts of drive from an Icom IC-718, we are getting about 1000 watts of output. You will need to install fresh tubes to get full output. Take a look at the video below for a short demo.
