Ameritron ALS 500M Amplifer

  

Up for grabs is my Ameritron ALS500m mobile amplifier. I installed this in my truck a 2 years ago, used it a few times, but found myself using UHF/VHF more than HF. It was installed under the driver seat so as to reach it and that the battery and main vehicle ground were close. You will NOT get an amplifier with soft transistors due to an inexperienced or unscrupulous operator. I apologize for not taking videos of it on the bench, but not enough amps in the power supply to show what it can really do. But I reiterate, the amp is working as it should and never had more the maximum rated RMS or PEP. #2 Comes with original power cable and a Power Pole connector (Sp50a), I'll include the other PP connector which is not shown in the Pics. #3 Has a couple of velcro strips on the top, didn't want to ruin the paint by removing them. I just tested this before disconnecting it on 10 meters and does what you would expect with the 12.5 volts from the battery on a Stainless Steel Whip.
