Amp Supply LK 500-NT 1500Watt PEP HF Linear Amplifier + Hypersil Xfms AS-IS
Amp Supply LK500-NTC 1500W PEP HF Amplifier. It COVERS 160/80/40/20/15/10 METER HAM BANDS. Uses two 3-500Z tubes, one of which had a short in it and the other was removed. The condition of this amplifer is as follows. This amplifier appears to be pretty much stock as built originally circa 1975, with most components original other than those mentioned above.
The case is in original excellent condition. Has Peter Dahl Hipersil C-Core Transformers, one for the HV and the other for the filament supply. The transformers alone are worth the asking price. One of the two original tubes had a short internally. I suspect that is what caused the damage to the amplifier.
When inserting known good tubes into it, they draw plate current of around 150-200mA even in standby. The, a large 20W resistor overheats. You can see the ooze that ran out of it in some of the photos. No other troubleshooting was done. Includes a partial schematic in the manuals I have downloaded and will include with the amp. NOT Working, for parts or repair.Checks must clear before shippping.
