Collins 30L-1 HF Linear Amplifier Tested
I have the Collins model 30L-1 HF Amplifier. It does have proper voltage as shown but may have issues.
This one came from an estate and has been repainted. Looks ok but is missing a couple of screws as shown. I tested it with 80 watts of drive and was able to get out at least 400 watts. While transmitting I did hear a little bit of noise maybe from the power supply section so did not try to do more testing. I did leave it running for some time and had no issues but it will more than likely need to be repaired. Please see all photos as it does have some cosmetic issues and possibly repainted as well.
