Drake L-4B Vintage 3-500Z Tube Amplifier (looks great, needs work)

  

It's in beautiful cosmetic condition with very little wear, only a few small scuffs/scratches here and there. The power supply had a new capacitor board installed fairly recently. Upon testing, we began driving the amp with lower power. With about 45 watts of drive, we were getting around 500 watts out (see the photos). We noticed the tubes were getting very hot, so we shut it down. The cooling fan seemed to be running a little rough/slow, so we thought we'd lube it up to see if that would help the tubes. We removed the tubes and let the amp run for about an hour (letting the oil soak into the fan's bearings), then we smelled something burning. We're fairly certain that we lost a resistor in the power supply, specifically, R12. This resistor essentially acts as a fuse. However, we simply don't have the time to troubleshoot and repair.

It's a clean amp and we hope it'll find it's way to a good home that'll get it back on the air! Local pick-up is certainly welcome!
