This is the legendary, heavy-duty M-2057 version, specifically manufactured by GE for high-performance RF applications. Because of it's designed, it mostly. Found in equipment used for. This is where it's most famous. It was the "big bad" tube for Maco amplifiers like the Maco 75, Duster, and Super 75. Ham Radio: (10-meter band / 28 MHz). Hams often used these in converted "sweep tube" amplifiers because they could handle more heat and power than the standard 8950.

Also called the "Super Tube". This tube is essentially a 12-pin version of the 8908.

While standard tubes like the 8950 are rated for 30W, this M-2057 is a 40W plate dissipation beast! It runs cooler and lasts longer under high-power conditions. The GE 2057 (M-2057) is the "turbocharged" version that is highly desirable because it can push more power (up to 250W peak per tube in the right amp) without burning out as easily. This is a direct, heavy-duty 12-pin Compactron replacement for standard RF power tubes, offering better stability in high-drive environments. It's always nice to have a back up ready on the bench. This tube is a heavy hitter for the HF (High Frequency) bands. Designed with a 13.0V filament, making it ideal for mobile, marine, or base station setups running off 12V power systems.

Healthy silver/black getter (no white "chalky" air leaks). Features the original GE "Electronic Tube" etching and M 2057 code. Has minor fading only on the logo. This is a "working pull" from a vintage station showing only minor signs of light usage. It has rainbowing in the getter.

This is another indication that a tube has been not onlylightly used, but well maintained. This GE 2057 (M-2057) appears robust and ready for service! I know how fragile these are. This tube will be packed extremely well to ensure it arrives at your shack intact.
