Gonset GSB-101 Model 3262 Linear Amplifier for Ham Radio VINTAGE (Powers On). This unit was powered on slowly with a Variac. The filaments on the four front left tubes lit, as well as the pilot light. We let the amplifier run with the full amount of voltage applied for a little over half an hour and smelled no burning and heard no hum. Other than that, no further testing was performed. Piece of equipment, and unless specifically noted above, it has not been fully restored with new components.
It will inevitably need maintenance, however it's impossible to know whether that will be next week or a few years down the road. Unless you are capable of doing this work yourself (or have access to someone who can), we suggest you revisit the idea of whether this is the right equipment for you.
