This is a 2 pill base amplifier with a pair of Motorola MRF455s a Babalou Deuce with SSB and Preamp. Great audio modulation, comebacks will tell you. Performance: tested with a Diawa CN-901 meter used with a 1.5k dummy load. Dont be disappointed with low PEP the audio and Audio/Carrier ratio is higher than non-audio pills (2879s) this Deuce does 40 % less PEP than a typical 2879 but, twice the audio. Not necessary to lower DK to get high PEP swing to get audio as one does with other non-audio pills you get clear loud audio at all variable POT settings. One can get highest PEP with POT position to get 40w DK swing to 140w PEP. The MRF455 (rated 60W PEP) acts like a modulator producing loud and clear audio. I found to be an awesome driver for mules (2,4,6,8,12 pill) I get a lot more comebacks with its piercing audio compare to using output pills (MRF454 and 2879s) as a driver.
