ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITORS and 1.5 Amp 1000V PIV Rectifier Diodes! Took this Really clean looking SB200 in trade a few weeks ago for another HF amplifier. This amp belonged to a ham friend of mine who thought he must have did something wrong but as it turned out the power supply caps were shot and the tubes were soft. To fully test the amplifier I used an extremely healthy pair of Svetlana tubes out of another amp, the amp produced good carrier power as pictured in one of my meter pics. All testing was done on 120V but the amp will run on 240V. Currently wired for 120V operation. After adjusting the tuned input for each band and checking for power output, I put back in the best set of tubes that I could find in my spares. Unfortunately one tube is weaker than the other which will not allow for maximum out output but it did put out decent & usable power as pictured in one of the power meter pics. One tube is a Amperex healthy, and a Taylor weaker. Still yielded about 500 watts carrier pictured and should perform well on SSB. The band selector and meter switches all look good with NO SIGNS of arching. The cabinet, chassis, and knobs are in good shape with normal signs of use but nothing major. There is one screw missing on the front panel and two screws missing on the inner cover. The amp still has the original RCA input for the transmitter connection and there is an extra RCA on the rear that is not in use. The amp requires a keying interface for use with modern rigs. There is a STBY/OP switch added and shows in a few of the pictures. A cable will be included for the RCA to UHF PL259 input. This item will be DOUBLE BOXED with great care. The tubes will be bubble wrapped and placed inside the RF deck but not plugged in. A printed note will be attached to remind the purchaser to tubes the tubes back into place before attempting to use. I do not have a printed manual for this amp but I downloaded a PDF copy which I do for all my equipment anyway.
