Kenwood TL-922A Ham Radio Eimac 3-500Z Tube Amplifier (runs beautifully)

  

This is a very nice Kenwood TL-922A amplifier. The top/lid has a few small scuffs on it, but the rest of the exterior looks fantastic. Inside, it's as clean as a whistle. It's currently wired for 240VAC and has two Eimac 3-500Z tubes installed. For CW, plate voltage sits at 2100VDC with no load.

With 60 watts keyed-down, it shows 1800VDC and 700 watt out. For SSB, plate voltage sits at 3150VDC with no load. 60 watts of drive gives us 2700VDC and 1000 watts out.

Ensure this amp will meet your needs, and just as important, be sure you're comfortable operating it. I'll say it one more time.... Read the manual before purchasing and operating the amplifier. I can take the tubes out if you like, but I would personally recommend leaving them in. They are tight in the socket and are not going to come out.

I've also added some foam padding around the tubes. But, as I said, it's your call and I'll do whatever you prefer. This item will be packaged using our InstaPak foam-in-bag system, ensuring the utmost protection!
