One meter light functions, one does not. We have no way of testing the meters themselves.
We are not hams nor do we have any other ham equipment from which to fully test this unit. However we've dealt with a lot of ham equipment over the past two decades. Please note that the manual states that this unit is CAPABLE of several functions but we have no way of knowing if the components needed to achieve such functions are installed, such as those that make this 11 meter (CB) capable.
The same applies to CW, SSB, and RF functions, all of which are stated as being available in the manual. The specs also state this will boost 6/10 meter output by TEN TIMES when cautioning against TV interference. You likely know more than we about build and functions but we wanted to point that out.
This was literally a barn (garage) find. A couple bought a home years ago and this was sitting on a shelf where it wasn't moved for years. It came with the home and they knew NOTHING about it. It was exposed to some kind of moisture at some point in time as evidenced by the rust residue on the front of the chassis. We gave the entire unit a light cleaning for presentation purposes, including lubricating the dials. From what we can tell all of the dials and switches turn and work properly. No way to check the meters or other functions. It may work perfectly or not at all, we have no way of knowing. But we have the full build manual with schematics as well as the operators manual. The build manual was checked-off along the way. Please note that the name of a previous owner is inscribed on the front face of the unit,'E Hill'. Perhaps someone known in the ham community?
