LDMOS Over-current Protection module 80A 25-62V. This unit serves a few purposes.

It acts as a DC switch and also is an adjustable current protection module. It connects on the DC line between the power supply and the amplifier. Even though LDMOS devices are very rugged they can still benefit from a over current trip circuit incase of a fault. This unit is based around the Infineon BTS50085 module. Once the current reaches the set threshold it will trip the mosfet turning off the power to the amplifier. This can prevent very costly failure of the LDMOS device. Momentarily grounding the on or off pin will turn the DC voltage on or off. It has very low on resistance so there will be virtually no power lost through the device. Designed and manufactured in Australia. PCB Size: 55 x 60 mm. Dc Voltage: 25v - 62v. On- resistance: 3.5 milliohms. Current range: 18 - 80 amps.
