Metron MA1000B Vintage Ham Amplifier. Condition is For parts or not working. This amp has been modified with 10 meter kit, so operates from 10 meters to 160 meters, continuous, this amp design is said to be used today in military applications.
It still has breaker that insures you don't over drive, so this on has not been abused. When I bought it it didn't have 10 meter kit, so this one has only been used by amature radio operators.
Caps were bad and they were replaced with same value as originals. Has some scratches, but shows very nice. I have used this one with an Astron 70 and sealed battery just to soften peaks, breaker is 75 amp and Max drive is about 75 watts. I ran it at about 50 watts drive, it draws around 50 amps, and shows about 600 watts out, everything stays happy.
