Heathkit HA-10 Warrior Vintage Ham Radio Amplifier (looks good, powers on)

  

This is a good looking piece of vintage ham equipment. Cosmetically, the faceplate appears to be all original and is in excellent condition. The chrome knobs look great. The cabinet appears to have been repainted at some point and has some scuffs, but still looks good. You'll notice that all of the cabinet screws in the rear has been removed. We just don't have the energy to take this monster out of the cabinet, so we can't see if anything has been done under the chassis (sorry, but hopefully you understand). We briefly powered it up and the tube filaments light up as you can see in one of the photos. No further testing has been done. This equipment came from the estate of a ham operator and has been tucked away in a storage unit for approximately 15 years.

We have not done any testing beyond what is specifically mentioned above. There are a few reasons for this, but it essentially comes down to the fact that they almost always need some level of service and it's simply not cost effective to pay our technician to spend time going through them.

It may or may not need components replaced (caps, resistors, tubes, etc), controls cleaned/lubricated, alignment, and so on. Unless you are qualified and capable of working on this unit yourself, or are willing to pay a qualified individual to do the work for you, we suggest you revisit the idea of whether this is the right equipment for you.
